Description
This insurance covers the liability of the insured or co-insured persons for damage caused to others by a dog or cat. The insurance also applies to damage caused to others by persons to whom the insured has entrusted the care of the animal (dog or cat).
The insurance covers situations where your dog or cat causes harm to another person’s health, property, or financial loss related to such harm. For example, if your dog runs away during a walk and causes a traffic accident in which a successful doctor or manager is injured and unable to work for an extended period, the amount of damage can easily reach hundreds of thousands or even millions of crowns. Or, if a lady comes to visit wearing an expensive coat and your cat decides to “cuddle” with it. It can also happen that your dog bites someone and causes a serious injury. All these and similar situations are covered by the liability insurance.
What this insurance does not cover are damages caused to borrowed or rented items, damages caused by the insured animal to you or your close relatives, damages from hunting activities, any non-material harm, or damages related to professional activity or preparation for it.
What to do in case of an insurance claim

Therefore, we have agreed with ČSOB Insurance Company that liability claims will be handled directly by their experienced team. However, PetExpert will collect the necessary documents and communicate with you to ensure everything goes quickly and smoothly, as is our standard.
